With headquarters in the Meatpacking District of New York City, Delos' creative team designs sustainable building solutions for clients around the world. In true “practice what you preach” fashion, Delos has ensured that their own global headquarters is the epitome of a healthy workplace. Educated thought was put into every element of the design so that employees can be productive while still benefiting their health. The multi-level space is an exemplary showing of sustainable construction: Delos sought WELL, LEED and LBC Certifications.
With views of the Hudson river, access to a healthfood cafe and biophilia, Delos employees enjoy a beautiful work environment. The inclusion of task lights at individual workstations allows employees to adjust their personal lighting to suit their preferences and circadian rhythms. Mosso Pro allows you to adjust not only the direction and brightness of the light, but also the light temperature. Touch and hold the light source (don't worry, LEDs don't get hot) to go from warm to cool light. Coincide with the circadian day: in the morning, bright, cool light will tell our bodies/minds to wake up, while towards the end of the day, warmer, dimmer lights will help our bodies to unwind. Warm or dim lighting doesn't necessarily translate to a slower rate of productivity. Studies show that we tend to perform administrative tasks well in the morning, and our creative sides open up towards the end of the day.
